Using Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy to Analyze the Mass Transfer in the Protein A Medium of a Silica Matrix

Using confocal laser scanning microscopy, we monitored the positional and temporal changes polyclonal human IgG during batch adsorption. simple theoretical model based on Fick’s law of diffusion Langmuir adsorption used to numerically approximate external intraparticle mass-transfer properties single particles. The diffusivities found study were validated by comparing values reported other studies also using numerical calculation reproduce experimentally obtained breakthrough curve.
